Answer:

Given :

Ravi & John are 300 m apart

velocity of ravi is 2m/s & Velocity of john is 1 m/s

To Find :

Time at which they will cross each other

Solution :

•Let time taken by them to cross each other is t seconds

•Since , Distance = speed × time

•Distance travelled by ravi in t seconds = speed x time = 2×t

= 2t metres

•Distance travelled by John in t seconds = speed × time

= 1×t = t metres

•Now , Sum of distance travelled by both ravi & john will be 300 m

•or In 300 metres some distance will be travelled by Ravi & rest by John

•so, Distance travelled by ravi = 300- distance travelled by John

2t = 300 - t

3t = 300

t = 100 seconds

•After t = 100 seconds ravi & john will cross each other
