on the contrary let us suppose that 2+3 root 5 is not irrational

it is a rational number

let 2+3root5 in p/q form

where p and q are integers and q is not equals to zero

2+3root5=p/q

3root5=p/q-2

3root5= p-2q/q

root5=p-2q/3q equation (i)

as p and q are integers

p-2q and 3q are also integers

therefore p-2q/3q is rational

root5 is also rational/from equation (i)

which is contradiction to the fact of root 5 is irrational

hence our supposition is wrong

2+3root5 is rational
