bigger of dimensions 25 cm x 20 cm x 5 cm and the smaller of dimensions 15 cm × 12cm×5cm .For all the overlaps, 5% of the total surface
area is required extra. If the cost of the cardboard is Rs 4 for 1000 cm square , find the

Total surface area of cuboid =2(lb+bh+hl)

Suppose bigger box=S1

So, S1=2(25×20+20×5+5×25)

S1=2[500+100+125]

2×725=1450 cm^2

And also supppose smaller vox=S2

So, S2=2(15×12+12× 5+5×15)

=2×(180+60+75)

=2×315

S2=630cm^2

Surface area of both two boxes =S1+S

Surface area of both two boxes=(1450+630)cm^2

=2080cm^2

Area of overlap =2080×5÷100=104cm^2

Total surface area of two boxes with waste cardboard =2080+104 cm^2

=2184cm^2

So, total surface area of 250 boxes

=[3184×250]cm^2

=546000cm^2

Cost of 1000cm=₹4

So,cost of 1 cm=₹4÷1000

Cost of cardboard for 250 boxes =4÷1000×546000

=₹2184

Hope that answer will help you.
