Shershah suri revived the system of dagh (branding horses) and chehra ( soldiers identification) and introduced coins- rupiya(silver coin) dam ( copper coin) and mohur(gold coin).

Dagh was branding of some special horses which are to be then specially used for wars and chehra was an identification system for the soldiers. The system was introduced by allauddin khilji ( 1296-1316).

Shershah suri an Afghani ruler was the founder of the Suri dynasty .He defeated Humayun a Mughal ruler twice first in the battle of Chausa 1939 ,then again at kannauj taking his place as a king.He died in an accidental gun powder explosion and his son Islam Shah took over.Suri kingdom lasted till 1555 and the Mughal kingdom was restored with Akbar becoming the king.
