2. Simplify 3x(y+2x) +(x-4y) and also find the value if x=2 and y=-1​

GiveN :

  • x = 2
  • y = -1

To FinD :

  • 3x (y + 2x) + (x - 4y)

SolutioN :

3x (y + 2x) + (x - 4y)

= 3 × 2 (-1 + 2 × 2) + [2 - 4 × (-1)]

= 6 (-1 + 4) + (2 + 4)

= 6 + 3 + 2

= 9 + 2

= 11
