We know that sin (30°) = 1/2 tan (60°) = √3 cos(60°) = 1/2 sec(30°) = 2/√3

Now putting the values;

 = 2 \times ( \frac{1}{2} ) {}^{2}  \times  (\sqrt{3} ) - (3 \times  (\frac{1}{2} ) {}^{2}  \times ( \frac{2}{ \sqrt{3} } ) {}^{2} )

 = 2 \times  \frac{1}{4}  \times  (\sqrt{3} ) - (3 \times  \frac{1}{4} \times  \frac{4}{3}  )

 =  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  - 1

 =  \frac{ \sqrt{3}  - 2}{2}
