Hi there !!!

I think second equation is 3x +5y= 16
2x + 4y = 10 - - - - (1)\\ \\ 3x + 5y = 16 - - - - (2)\\ \\ from \: eqn \: (1) \\ \\ x = \frac{10 - 4y}{2} - - - - (3) \\ \\ now \: put \: this \: in \: eqn \: (2) \\ \\ 3( \frac{10 - 4y}{2} ) + 5y = 16 \\ \\ 30 \: - \: 12y + 10y = 32 \\ \\ - 12y + 10y = 32 - 30 \\ \\ - 2y = 2 \\ \\ y = - 1 \\ \\ now \: put = - 1 \: in \: eq \: (3) \\ \\ x = \frac{10 - 4( - 1)}{2} \\ \\ x = \frac{10 + 4}{2} = \frac{14}{2} = 7

Hence x = 7 and y = -1

Verification --- 2(7)+4(-1) =10

=14-4 = 10

Hence verified .

Hope it will helpful ♥️

Hey

Here is your answer,

Equations :

2x+4y=10 ___________ eq.1
3x+5y+16 ___________ eq.2

Multiplying the equation 1 by 3,
6x + 12y =30

Multiplying the equation 2 by 2,
6x + 10y = 32

Solving both the equations by elimination method,

6x + 12y =30
6x + 10y = 32
___________
2y = -2
Y=-2/2
Y=-1

Substitute the value of y in equation 1,
2x+4y=10
2x+4x(-1)=10
2x=10+4
2x=14
X=14/2
X=7

Hope it helps you!
