3b+b= 4b

Perimeter of rectangle - 2×( l + b )

So, here

• Width be x
• length = 3x ( 3 times of width )

☯ According to equation :

$: \implies2\sf \times( x + 3x) = 96$

$\sf : \implies \: 2 \times 4x = 96$

$\sf : \implies8x = 96$

$: \implies\sf \: x = \frac{96}{8}$

$\bf \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: x = 12$

so, x = Width. and Length = 3x.

$\bf \: \: \: width \: = 12 \\ \bf \: \: \: length = 3 \times x = 3 \times 12 = 36$

☯ Let's Verify :

$\sf \: 2 \times (l + b)$

$= > \sf \: 2 \times (12 + 36)$

$= > \sf \: 2 \times 48$

$= > \bf \: 96 \: cm$
