Step by step explanation

  • 2y - x = 0 ... (i)

  • 15y + 10x = 105 .... (ii)

According to your question, we will solve given equations by elimination method

  • Multiplying (i) by 10, we get:

  • 20y - 10x = 0 ... (iii)

  • Adding (ii) and (iii), we get:

  • 35y = 105

  • y = 105

35

  • y = 3

Now, putting y = 3 in (ii), we get

  • 10x + 15 × 3 = 105
  • 10x + 45 = 105

  • 10x = 105 - 45
  • 10x = 60

  • x = 60

10

  • x = 6

Hence, x = 3 and y = 6
