2. solve the system of equations 2x +3y= 11 and
82-4y= -34 by substitution method​

8x-4y= -34.................2

from equation 1

2x +3y= 11

2x = 11-3y

x= (11-3y)/2 .................3

put value of x in equation 2

8(11-3y)/2 -4y= -34

4(11-3y) -4y = -34

44 -12y-4y = -34

44-16y = -34

-16y = -34-44

-16y = -78

y = -78/-16

y = 39/8

now put value of y in equation 3

x = (11-3y)/2

x = (11-3x39/8)/2

x= {(88 -117)/8}/2

x= -29/8/2

x= -29/16
