Physical Change only change the appearance of a substance, not its chemical composition.

Chemical Change

Chemical Change cause a substance to change into an entirely substance with a

new chemical formula.

Physical change :-

The process in which no new chemical substance is formed is called physical change.

eg.

  • melting of ice
  • evapouration of water
  • rusting

Process :-

On heating :-

⬛ solid ➝ 〰liquid ➝ ♨gas

On cooling :-

⬛ solid ⬅ 〰liquid ⬅ ♨gas

Chemical change :-

The process in which new chemical substance is formed withbdiffrent chemical properties is called physical change.

eg.

  • turning brown of sugar
  • cooking of food
  • digestion

Burrning of magnesium ribbon :-
