Here is your answer :-

 {(2a - 4)}^{2}  \\  \\  =  {(2a)}^{2}  - 2(2a)(4) +  {(4)}^{2} \\  \\  = 4 {a}^{2} - 16a + 16

Bonjour!

 =  >  {(2a - 4)}^{2}  \\  \\  =  >  {(2a)}^{2}  +  {(4)}^{2}  + 2(2a)(4) \\  \\  =  > 4 {a}^{2}  + 16 + 16a

Identity used :- (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab
