Formula used :-

Solution :-

⠀⠀$Area = \dfrac{1}{2} \times (a + b) \times h$

⠀⠀$34 = \dfrac{1}{2} \times (10 + b) \times 4$

⠀⠀$34 = (10 + b) \times 2$

⠀⠀$17 = (10 + b)$

⠀⠀$b = 17 - 10$

⠀⠀$b = 7$

Hence, the required length = 7 cm.
