two charges 25\mu C and 36\mu C are situated 11cm apart from each other. Let a point P, on line the two charges, distance from charge 25\mu C is x cm, where electric field intensity becomes zero.

means, electric field intensity due to 25\mu C at P = electric field intensity due to 36\mu C

or, k(25\mu C)/x² = k(36\mu C)/(11 - x)²

or, 25/x² = 36/(11 - x)²

or, 5²/x² = 6²/(11 - x)²

or, 5/x = 6/(11 - x)

or, 5(11 - x) = 6x

or, 55 = 11x => x = 5cm

hence, the point is located at a distance 5cm from 25\mu C

hence, option (a) is correct
