Given : The figure shows kite ABCD and the measures of marked angles.

2a+30°

a+50°

3b-10°

b+20°

To Find : Value of a & b

Solution:

kite ABCD

Diagonal bisect the angle

2a+30° = a+50°

=> a = 20

3b-10° = b+20°

=> 2b = 30

=> b = 15

a = 20

b = 15

2a+30° = 70°

a+50° = 70°

3b-10° = 35°

b+20° = 35°

70° +  70° = 140°

35° + 35°  =  70°

Remaining two angles = ( 360°  - 140° - 70°)/2  = 75°

Value of  a and b  are 20 and 15 respectively
