FINAL ANSWER:-

mass of the pipe = 3432 g     or     3.432 kg

GIVEN:-

diameter of a cylindrical wooden pipe = r2 = \frac{24}{2} cm

its outer diameter = r1 = \frac{28}{2} cm

The length of the pipe = h = 35

1 cm of wood has  a mass of 0.6 g

TO FIND:-

the mass of the pipe

FORMULA USED:-

πhr²1-πhr²2      or     πh(r²1-r²2)       [Volume of cone]

SOLUTION:-

volume of hollow cylinder = πhr²1-πhr²2 OR  πh(r²1-r²2)

                                           =\frac{22}{7}*35(14^{2}-12^{2})

                                           =\frac{22}{7}*35(196-144)

                                           =\frac{22}{7}*35*52

                                           =22×5×52

                                           =5720

∴ weight of cylinder =5720 cm³ × 0.6g

                                = 3432 g   or  3.432 kg
