Given :

  • The lateral surface area of a cube is 100 m².

To Find :

  • Volume of the cube.

Solution :

Let edge of the cube be a

Lateral surface area = 4 a²

➞ 100 m² = 4 × (a)²

➞ a² = 100/4

➞ a² = 25 m

➞ a = √25

➞ a = 5 m

Hence,

Edge of the cube is 5 m

Now,Volume of cube = (Edge)³

➞ Volume of cube = (5)³

➞ Volume of cube = 125 m³

Hence,

  • Volume of cube is 125 m³

Answer:

The volume of the cube will be 125 m³

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we have been given that the lateral surface area of a cube is 100 m², and we have to find its volume.

Let  each edge of the cube be m

Now, we know that

Lateral surface area of cube = 4a²

                                          ⇒ 100=4a²

                                           ⇒a² = 25

                                         ⇒  a = 5m

Hence, each edge of a cube is 5m.

Then,

volume of cube = a³

                           ⇒5 m³

                           ⇒ 125 m³

Thus, the volume of a cube is 125 m³.
