We have: LCM=1200 , now we will consider the options and see that 600,400,200 can be the HCF of the given two numbers as they are the factors of the LCM that means they divide it. Therefore, 500 cannot be the HCF of the given numbers. So, the correct answer is “Option B”.

hope you got it the answer......

Answer:

The LCM of two numbers =1200

The prime factorisation of the two no.s will have some numbers and LCM is the least common factor which is always greater than HCF

The multiples of some numbers of the prime factorisation will lead to the LCM.

So,HCF will always be a factor of the LCM.

As,600,400 and 200 are factors of 1200 they can be the HCF but 500 is not a factor and hence it cannot be the HCF.
