Let the side of rhombus be a cm.

Diagonals of rhombus are perpendicular to each other and bisect each other,

So, by Pythagoras theorem,

 {a}^{2}  =  {( \frac{16}{2}) }^{2}  +  { (\frac{12}{2} )}^{2}

 {a}^{2}  =  {8}^{2}  +  {6}^{2}

 {a}^{2}  = 64 + 36 = 100

a =  \sqrt{100}  = 10

Each side = 10cm
