→ length of the pool = (2x + 2) cm -- equation (1)
And also given that,
Perimeter of the pool = 154 m.
We know that,
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth).
Hence,
2(2x + 2 + x) = 154
→ 2(3x + 2) = 154
→ 6x + 4 = 154
→ 6x = 154 - 4
→ 6x = 150
→ x = 150/6
→ x = 25
Substitute the value of x in equation (1)
→ length of the pool = 2(25) + 2
→ length of the pool = 52 m
→ Breadth of the pool = 25 m.
Hence, the dimensions of the pool are 52 m and 25 m.
