Given:

The length is 2 more than twice the breadth.

length of the pool = (2x + 2) cm -- equation (1)

And also given that,

Perimeter of the pool = 154 m.

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth).

Hence,

2(2x + 2 + x) = 154

→ 2(3x + 2) = 154

→ 6x + 4 = 154

→ 6x = 154 - 4

→ 6x = 150

→ x = 150/6

→ x = 25

Substitute the value of x in equation (1)

→ length of the pool = 2(25) + 2

length of the pool = 52 m

Breadth of the pool = 25 m.

Hence, the dimensions of the pool are 52 m and 25 m.

Given that :-

  • the perimeter of the pool is 154 metre .

How we can find it ?

we can find it by finding the the perimeter of rectangle first and then putting the value of x in the equation .

Now,

let the breadth of the pool b X m .

so the length of the pool = (2x+2)cm .....eq.1

We also know that

the perimeter of rectangle is 2(l+b)

note care the l represents to length and B represents to breath .

according to the question ,

2(2x+2+X)=154

=> 2(3x+2) = 154

=> 6x+4=154

=> 6x= 154-4

=> 6x = 150

=> X= 150/6

=> X = 25

putting the value of X in the equation 1 we have ,

=> the length of the pool = 2×25+2

so. length of the pool = 52 m.

=> so the breadth of the pool = 25 m .
