perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

length =2+2b

bredth=b

2((2 + 2b) + b) = 154 \\ 2 + 2b + b =  \frac{154}{2}  \\ 2 + 2b + b = 77 \\ 2 + 3b = 77 \\ 3b = 77 - 2 \\ 3b = 75 \\ b =  \frac{75}{3}  \\ b = 25 \\ bredth = 25 \: \\   \: length = 2 + 2b  \\ l = 2 + 2(25) \\ l = 2 + 50 \\ l = 52

Answer:

The length of the pool = 25m

The breadth of the pool = 52m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

  • The swimming pool is in the shape of a rectangle.
  • The length is 2 metres more than twice its breadth.
  • Perimeter of the pool is 154 m

To Find

  • The length of the pool.
  • The breadth of the pool.

let the breadth of the pool = b

The length of the pool = 2b + 2m

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (length + breath)

⇏ 154 m = 2( b + 2b + 2m )

⇏ 154m/2 = 3b + 2m

⇏ 77m - 2m = 3b

⇏ 75m = 3b

⇏ 75m/3 = b

⇏ 25m = b

The length of the pool = b = 25m

The breadth of the pool = ( 2b + 2m ) = 25m × 2 + 2m = 52m
