Given :

⬤ Perimeter of Rectangular Swimming pool is 164 m.

⬤ Length is 2 m more than twice its breadth .

To Find :

⬤ Length of Swimming pool .

⬤ Breadth of Swimming pool .

Formula Used :

\sf[\:{Perimeter\:of\:Rectangle=2(l+b)}\:]

Solution :

Let :

  • Breadth of Swimming pool be = x
  • Length of Swimming pool be = 2x + 2

Now : -

According to the Formula :

164 = 2 (l + b)

164 = 2 (2x + 2 + x)

164 = 2 (3x + 2)

164 = 6x + 4

164 - 4 = 6x

160 = 6x

x = 160/6

x = 26.66

Therefore , The Value of x is 26.6 .

Hence ,

Breadth of Swimming pool = x

= 26.66

Length of Swimming pool = 2x + 2

= 2(26.66) + 2

= 53.32 + 2

= 55.32

Therefore , The Length and Breadth of the Rectangular Swimming pool is 55.32 m and 26.66 m .

Given the perimeter of a rectangular swimming pool is 164m and It's length is 2m more than twice its breadth. \\ \\

We have to find, Length and breadth of the pool.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Let ,Breadth of the pool be x

and, Length will be (2x + 2)

According to the question,

we know that,

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\pink{Perimeter_{\;(rectangle)} = 2 (l + b) }}}}\\ \\

Where,

  • l = length
  • b = breadth.

:\implies\sf 2 [(2x + 2) + x] = 164  \\ \\

:\implies\sf 2 [ 2x + 2 + x ] = 164  \\ \\

:\implies\sf 2 [ 3x + 2 ] = 164 \\ \\

:\implies\sf 3x + 2 = \cancel{\dfrac{164}{2}}  \\ \\

:\implies\sf 3x + 2 = 82 \\ \\

:\implies\sf 3x = 82 - 2 \\ \\

:\implies\sf 3x = 80\\ \\

:\implies\sf x = \cancel{\dfrac{80}{3}}\\ \\

:\implies{\boxed{\frak{\purple{ x = 26.66  }}}}\\\bigstar\\ \\

⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Now,

Breadth of the rectangle = 26.66m

Length of the rectangle = 26.66(2) + 2 = 55.32m

\therefore\;{\underline{\sf{ Hence, \;the\: length\; and \;breadth \;are \;55.32m \;and \;26.66m\; respectively.}}}
