ANSWER:

Given : Perimeter of rectangle is 36 cm

To find : Length and breadth

Solution :-

Let breadth be x cm

Said that, length is twice than breadth

∴ Length = 2x

To find the length and breadth, we will use the formula of Perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

☛ 36 = 2(2x + x)

☛ 36 = 2(3x)

☛ 36 = 6x

Dividing both the sides by 6, we get

☛ x = 6

∴ Breadth = x cm

= 6cm

∴ Length = 2x cm

= 2 × 6

= 12cm

Answer:

Breadth=6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle

=2(length + breadth) ------------(1)

we are given that:

l (length) = 2 × b (breadth)---------(2)

Now let 'b'= x

Then 'l'= 2x

putting theses values in eq (2)

we have, l=2x ------(3)

and b=x --------(4)

Putting values in The perimeter formula of rectangle.

Permimeter(p) = 2(l+b) by eq(1)

Now p is equal to 36 cm (given)

putting value in eq (1)

36=2(l+b) OR 2(2x+x) by eq (3) and (4)

36=2(3x)

36=6x

x=36/6

x=6cm
