Answer:

(d) 15 years

Step-by-step explanation:

The present ages of two students are in the ratio 5:3

let their ages be 5x and 3x respectively

After 6 years, their ages are in the ratio 7:5

  (5x+6):(3x+6) = 7:5

   5x+6/(3x+6) =7/5

    5(5x+6)=7(3x+6)

     25x+30= 21x+42

      25x-21x= 42-30

      4x=12

        x=12/4=3

therefore the ages of the students are 5x=5(3)=15 years and 3x=3(3)=9 years

The Present age of the first Student is 15 years
