5 X x =30

x=6

5*x = 30 (given)
x = 30/5=6
x=6 (ans)

(3) let that no’s be x, x+1, x+2
According to question
(x)+ (x+1)+(x+2)=12
3x +3=12
3x=12-3
3x=9
x=9/3
x= 3
So those no’s are 3,4,5

(4) i think there is some problem in statement!

(5) let kate’s age be x yrs.
Then Jake’s age would be 2x yrs.

After three yrs.
Kate’s age is (x+3)yrs.
Jake’s age is (2x+3) yrs.

According to question,
(x+3) + (2x+3) = 42
3x + 6 =42
3x = 42-6
3x=36
x = 36/3=12 yrs
Kate’s age is 12 yrs.
