Let the original salaries of Prakash and Prasad be ₹3x and ₹5x respectively

ratio or salaries given = 3x / 5x

Pravin's salary increased by 9000 then ratio becomes

( 3x + 9000 ) / ( 5x + 9000 ) = 2 / 3

Cross multiplying above equation

9x + (3×9000) = 10x + (2×9000)

Solving this we get

1x = 1 × 9000

solving above equation

x = 1 × 9000 / 1

Therefore salary of Prasad is

5x = ( 5 × 1 × 9000 ) / 1

===> 5 × 9000 / 1

===> 45000
