Given : The shape of Greg's study is a rectangle 575 cm long by 325 cm wide.

To Find : Area of Greg's study in square metres.

Solution:

Greg's study is a rectangle 575 cm long by 325 cm wide.

100 cm = 1m

=> length = 575 cm = 5.75 m

   width = 325 cm = 3.25 cm

Area of rectangle = Length * breadth

= 5.75 * 3.25

= 18.6875 m²

≈ 19 cm²

5.75   is close to 6

3.25 is close to 3

6 * 3 = 18     is close to   18.6875

Flooring cost = 19 * 52

= 988 Rs
