2.The sum of three numbers is 64. The second number is 3 less than the first number, the third is 11 less than twice the first. What are the numbers?

According to the question

second number=x-3

third number=2x-11

x+(x-3)+(2x-11)=64

4x-14=64

4x=64+14

4x=78

x=78/4

x=19.5

therefore the first number is 19.5

second number is 19.5-3=16.5

third number is (2*19.5)-11=28

so the three numbers are 19.5,16.5and 28.
