Given -

  • Volume of cone =462m²
  • Radius (r) =7m

To find -

  • The height of the cone

Solution -

We know that,

Volume \: of \: cone =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

Now putting the values we will get,

462 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}   \times  {7}^{2}  \times h

462 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 49 \times h

462 =  \frac{154}{3}  \times h

h = 462 \div  \frac{154}{3}

h = 462 \times  \frac{3}{154}

h = 9

Therefore the height of the cone is 9 m

Related Formulae -

1)Volume \: of \: cone =  \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

2)Curved \: surface \: area \: of \: cone = 2\pi \: rh

3)Total \: surface \: area \: of \: right \:  \\ circular \: cone = \pi \: rl + \pi {r}^{2}  = \pi \: r(l + r)
