Explanation:

A controlling account is a type of account in the general ledger, in which a respective subsidiary ledger is made in order to record or account for the adjustments or changes till they are completely matured. Now anything for which the work is in progress will not be debited in the general ledger rather it will be done in subsidiary ledger which will hold accounting records of all the works that are in running phase
