Hey friend,
Here is the answer you were looking for:
 {2}^{x + 3} = {4}^{x - 1} \\ \\ {2}^{x + 3} = {(2}^{2} )^{x - 1} \\ \\ {2}^{x + 3} = {2}^{2 x - 2} \\ \\as \: the \: bases \: are \: same \\ so \: putting \: the \: powers \: equal \\ \\ x + 3 = 2x - 2 \\ \\ x - 2x = - 2 - 3 \\ \\ - x = - 5 \\ \\ x = 5

Hope this helps!!!

 {2}^{x + 3} = {4}^{x - 1} \\ or. \: {2}^{x + 3} = { {2}^{2(x - 1)}} \\ or. \: x + 3 = 2(x - 1) \\ or. \: x + 3 = 2x - 2 \\ or. \: x = 5
Hope this is ur required answer
