Answer:

Isobars:

Isobars are atoms of different elements having different atomic number but the same mass number.

Isobars have different number of protons in the nucleus but the total number of nucleons (protons + neutrons) in them is the same.

E.g

Argon & Calcium are isobars

40Ar18 & 40Ca20

This is because Argon & Calcium are atom of different elements having different atomic number of 18 and 20 respectively but the same mass number of 40.

Isobar protons neutrons mass no.

40Ar18 18 22 18+22= 40

40Ca20 20 20 20+20= 40

Another e.g of Isobars is :

24Na11 & 24Mg12

sum of the number of protons and neutrons is same but the number of protons is different.

Hence option (iv) is correct.
