Step-by-step explanation:

2) Solution;

Let x be common ratio. Then, the numbera are 5x and 6x.

Accouding to the question,

5x-8 = 4

6x-8 5

or, 5(5x-8)=4(6x-8)

or, 25x-40=24x-32

or, 25x-24x=-32+40

or, x=8

Now, first number = 5x = 5x8 = 40

second number = 6x = 6x8 = 48

Hence, the numbers are 40 and 48.

4) Solution;

Let x be common ratio. The numbers are 3x and 4x respectively.

According to question,

L.C.M. of the numbers is 180.

Now, L.C.M. of 3x and 4 x is 12 x

Here, 12x = 180

or, x = 15

Now, first number = 3x = 3x15 = 45

second number = 4x = 4x15 = 60

Hence, the numbers are 45 and 60.
