2. Two sides of a triangle are 6 cm and 8 cm. If
height of the triangle corresponding to 6 cm
side is 4 cm; find :
(i) area of the triangle
(ii) height of the triangle corresponding to 8cm side.

the answers are
(i)

12cm {}^{2}

(ii)
3cm

I have given the answers above the chapter is mensuration area of a Trapezium and a polygon please do in class 8th standard explain the method and solve it. only solve if you know otherwise don't solve thank you . don't give me any reply If you are going to write rubbish

☞ See the attachment diagram .

GIVEN :-

Here,

  • AC = 6 cm
  • Height corresponding to AC is “BE” = 4cm

  • BC = 8 cm
  • Height corresponding to BC is “AD” = ?

FORMULA :-

\checkmark\:\sf\underline{\purple{\boxed{Area\:of\:Triangle\:=\:{\dfrac{1}{2}}\:\times{base}\:\times{height}\:}}}

CALCULATION :-

  • AC = 6 cm
  • BE = 4 cm

☞ So, Area of triangle is,

\sf{=\:{\dfrac{1}{2}}\:\times{AC}\:\times{BE}\:}

\sf{=\:{\dfrac{1}{2}}\:\times{6}\:\times{4}\:}

\sf{=\:12\:{cm}^{2}\:}

_________________________

  • BC = 8 cm
  • AD = ?

☞ Again, Area of triangle is,

\sf{=\:{\dfrac{1}{2}}\:\times{BC}\:\times{AD}\:}

\sf{\implies\:12\:cm^{2}\:=\:{\dfrac{1}{2}}\:\times{8}\:\times{AD}\:}

\sf{\implies\:{AD}\:=\:3\:cm\:}

__________________________

(i) Area of triangle is “12 cm²” .

(ii) Height of the triangle corresponding to 8cm side is “3 cm” .
