Given:

\dfrac{2}{3} x=\dfrac{3}{8} x+\dfrac{7}{12}

We have to find, the value of x is:

Solution:

\dfrac{2}{3} x=\dfrac{3}{8} x+\dfrac{7}{12}

\dfrac{2}{3} x-\dfrac{3}{8} x=\dfrac{7}{12}

\dfrac{16x-9x}{24} =\dfrac{7}{12}

\dfrac{7x}{24} =\dfrac{7}{12}

Multiplying both sides by 24, we get

7x = 7 × 2

7x = 14

⇒ x = \dfrac{14}{7}

⇒ x = 2

∴ The value of x = 2

Thus, the value of "x is equal to 2".
