{\tt{\red{\underline{\large{Given}}}}}

  • 2/v + 1/u =7/3 & 1/v + 3/u = 11/3
  • are two linear equations

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • value of u and V
  • By Elimination method

{\sf{\pink{\underline{\Large{Explanation}}}}}

Let

2/v + 1/u =7/3 _____(1)

& 1/v + 3/u = 11/3_______(2)

Taking 1/v = X and 1/u=y

2x + y = 7/3________(3)

x + 3y = 11/3 ________(4)

multiplying 2 in equation (4)

2x +6y=22/3_____(5)

Solving the equation (3) and (5) by Elimination method

2x + y = 7/3

2x + 6y = 22/3

__________

-5y=-15/3

=>-5y=-5

=>y=1

¶utting the value of y in equation (4)

x + 3y = 11/3

=>X+3=11/3

=>X=11/3 - 3

=>2/3

Now value of u and V

1/v=X

=>V=3/2

u=1
