Solution a :

Given :

  • 18 x [7 + (-3)] = [18 x 7] + [18 × (- 3)]

Concept :

  • We have to use BODMAS here. BODMAS states that firstly we have to open brackets after that we have to do of after that we have to solve for division after that we have to solve for multiplication after that we have to solve for addition after that we have to solve for substraction.

Solution :

⟶⠀18 × [7 + (-3)] = [18 × 7] + [18 × (- 3)]

⟶⠀18 × [7 - 3] = [18 × 7] + [18 × - 3]

⟶⠀18 × 4 = 126 + [-54]

⟶⠀72 = 126 - 54

⟶⠀72 = 72

Hence Verified...!!

Solution b :

Given :

  • 5 × [7 + (-6)] = 5 x 7 + 5 × (-6)

Concept :

  • We have to use BODMAS here. BODMAS states that firstly we have to open brackets after that we have to do of after that we have to solve for division after that we have to solve for multiplication after that we have to solve for addition after that we have to solve for substraction.

Solution :

⟶⠀5 × [7 + (-6)] = 5 × 7 + 5 × (-6)

⟶⠀5 × [7 - 6] = 5 × 7 + [5 × - 6]

⟶⠀5 × 1 = 5 × 7 + [-30]

⟶⠀5 × 1 = 5 × 7 - 30

⟶⠀5 = 35 - 30

⟶⠀5 = 5

Hence Verified...!!
