Magnetic- Substances made of  Iron, Nickel, Cobalt and the alloys of them which attracts towards a magnet is called Magnetic Substances For eg - Steel, Iron Rod.

Non Magnetic- Substances not made of Iron, Nickel, Cobalt which does not attract towards a magnet is called Non - Magnetic Substances. For eg-  Platic, Wood

The materials which get attracted towards a magnet are magnetic – for example, iron, nickel or cobalt. The materials which are not attracted towards a magnet are non-magnetic materials. Examples of non-magnetic materials include rubber, coins, feather and leather.
