2. What are some of the difference(s) between ‘deep time’ and ‘historical time’? If you were to write the history of India, where would you begin and why? Explain with reasons.

DEEP TIME :-

The philosophical concept of geological time was developed in 18th century by Scottish geologist James Hutton (1726 - 1797) ,his "System of Habitable Earth " was a deistic mechanism keeping the world eternally suitable for humans. The modern concept huge change over the Age of Earth.

HISTORICAL TIME :-

Historical time refers to the period which we know through texts, making it possible to investigate the life, thinking ,philosophy, culture and social reality of the time periods concerned .This is commonly referred to as Archeological Time.

INDIAN HISTORY STARTED :-

The History of India begins in Indus Valley Civilization ,most precisely known as Harappa Civilization .It is flourished around 2,500 BC, in the western part of South Asia, what today is Pakistan and Western India .Mahenjodaro and Harappa were unearthed.

INDIAN HISTORY ENDED :-

After World War I ,a nationwide struggle for Independence was launched by Indian National Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi and noted for non violence .Later ,the All - India Muslim League would advocate separate Muslim Majority national state. The British Indian Empire was partitioned on August 1947 into the Dominion of India (present day republic of India) and Dominion of Pakistan (present day Islamic Republic of Pakistan and People's Republic of Bangladesh ) each gaining it's Independence.
