2.What are the reasons for dissonance in the minds of the consumers? How would an organization use the theory of Marketing to regain the confidence of the consumers?

Hello dear,
firstly I don't know any Theory but yeah I could answer by my sense of humor

to regain the confidence of the people that company have to go through 2 major changes -:

1) fire those people because of whom that company lost the confidence
2) Making new plan to attract people like-
A} giving their best quality product for free use for sometimes
B} Go through some charity so that people will think this company is apologized whatever it had done in the past
