The stag liked his  beautiful curving antlers as they added beauty to him. That is why he looked very graceful and handsome . After watching his own shadow reflected in the water, he was admired  with the size and variety of his horns.

Although he was ashamed of his legs, which later on saved his life.

In this story ,THE STAG AND THE HUNTER, once there was a stag ,who was drinking water in a pool. When he saw the reflection of his beautiful horns in the water felt very proud. Right after which the hunter dogs came barking.

Despite he hated his legs ,which he felt were ugly, helped him in escaping by running as fast , as he could. This was when he realized the value of his ugly-looking legs ,which were like his friends.

The very next moment, the horns which he felt were beautiful got entangled in the bush behaved like his enemy. Although he tried, to release himself from the bush ,but he could not overcome from that. Soon the hunter dogs came and killed him.

The moral of this story is -All that glitters is not gold.

Which is true , as he was so much graced by his horns ,which  at the end became the cause of his death, and the legs which were ugly for him acted as his friend in his difficult situation.
