Mixture of solute and solvent is called as Solution.

• Solute may be liquid or solid.

• solvent is always a liquid ,it may be water , alcohol or any other liquid.

• If sugar is dissolved in water then sugar particles are called as solute and water acts as a solvent and resulting mixture is sweet solution of sugar and water. Similarly if there is a mixture of salt and water then salt is Solute and water is solvent . Here Solute is in the form of solid particles.

• when solute us liquid and solvent is also in liquid form then the solution contain both liquid . For example mixture of kerosene, tarpene dissolved in alcohol .

Diluted solution of any liquid chemical
