* cut the potato in two parts.

*add iodine to it and leave it for few minutes.

* animals get oxygen from plants.

* take two plants in a pot and both in the sunlight * cover one plant with black plastic and leave other freely.

*after some hour take back the both plants.

* take two leaves one from covered plant and another from uncovered plant.

* boil both leaves in water.

*now, boil both in alcohol.

*wash the leaves in cold water.

add a few drops of iodine on the both.

* the covered leaf doesn't turn blue black while the uncovered leaf turns blue black.

This shows the uncovered leaf contain starch( plants food) while covered leaf doesn't contain starch.

It means sunlight is needed for photosynthesis.
