Bhaga was lieved on agricultural produce and the cattle and the rate of one-sixth ( Shadabhaga) whereas Vali was a religious tribute . According to the Arthasastra, the Brahmins, women, children, armourer's, sons and the Kong's men were exempted from paying tax
