Ion chromatography

Size-excluding chromatography

Affinity Chromatography

Application: 1) It is used to separate solution of coloured substances. 2) It is used in forensic sciences to detect and identify trace amount of substances in the contents of bladder and stomach. 3) It is used to separate small amount of products of chemical reaction.

Some materials seems to be homogeneous but actually are made by combining different compounds it is by chromatography we are able to separate such components of mixtures by the use of various dyes
For example green plants contain variety of pigments which can be separated by this process
Chromatography is of four types namely

1.Liquid Chromatography,
2.Gas Chromatography,
3.Thin-Layer Chromatography and
4.Paper Chromatography.
