i)Heating:-Oil and natural gas are commonly used for heating homes as well as providing heat for industrial applications.

ii)Transportation:-Oil supplies 99 percent of the energy for cars in the form of gasoline and diesel.

• Fossils are the remains of dead plants, dead animals that have been buried in the ground for a long time and are analyzed by various microorganisms.
• 1. Fossil fuels can be extracted from fossils in long-lying soil. (E.g. coal, petroleum etc.)

2. Natural gas can be extracted from fossil fuels i.e. from fossils which help in cooking or moving vehicles.

• Coal, petroleum and natural gasses are produced from fossil so they called fossil fuel.
