Answer :

A buffer solution is said to be a mixture of either acid and its conjugate base or base and its conjugate acid . A buffer action is said to be the resistance ability of a buffer solution , where when adding a small amount of either acid or base won't change the pH value of the solution . Buffer action can be seen in 2 types of buffer solutions . They are :

♡ Acid buffer solution - is a solution made up of a weak acid and its conjugate base .

♡ Basic buffer solution - is a solution made up of a weak base and its conjugate acid .

In our human body buffer systems exist and they are used to maintain the pH level of our blood . Our blood should have a pH value of 7.35 or 7.45 and to maintain this , 1 acid - carbonic acid and its bicarbonate anions act together to form a buffer action , which help keeping the blood in its correct pH value state . There are other buffer systems in our body too , but we have took the blood buffer system as an example since it's the most common buffer system in our body .
