Manufacturing business:

i. Manufacturing can be defined as a process by a company where the product is made as per the end user’s demand or preferences.

ii. They are customer-oriented. They will produce any type of product for any type of customer.

iii. Consumer-satisfaction

Merchandising business:

i. A merchandiser can be defined as a customer. Customers can be of many types- wholesalers, retailers, and end-user. A merchandiser is generally a retailer that purchases the goods from a distributor to resell the same.

ii. They are profit-oriented as well as customer-oriented. They observe the market and resell only those goods which will give them profit maximization.
