Given

The Volume of water= 180 ml

amount of dissolved Nacl= 20g

To find

Mass percentage of the salt

Solution

The solution to the above can be done using the simple equation for concentration

  • Mass of solute = 20g
  • Mass of water(solvent)= 180ml

Total mass of the solution= 180 +20 =200g or ml

So concentration of the soluiton = \frac{mass of solute}{mass of solvent(solution)} *100

So we get \frac{20*100}{200} =  10%

So the final answer and the mass percentage of the salt= 10%
