To find :-

The sum of the roots of 2x²+3x-2=0.

Solution :-

=> 2x^2 + 3x -2 = 0.\\\\ \\\implies    2x^2 + 4x - x -2 = 0\\ \\\\ \\ \\\implies   2x(x+2) - 1 (x + 2)  =0\\\\\\\implies (x+2)(2x-1) = 0 \\\\\\\\\implies x = -2  \: \:  or   \: \:  x = 1/2.\\\\\\\\\\Hence,  sum \: \:  of  \: \: roots  = -2+1/2 = -3/2.\\\\
